2025 Presidents Report by Lloyd Davis

Good evening everyone,

Welcome to the Hartwell Motorcycle Club Annual General Meeting.

First off, I would like to thank Jayson and Linda Porter for their efforts up until their resignations in the middle of the year.

Overall for the year Hartwell has had mixed fortunes financially running our race meetings. Although competitor numbers have been low the club championships turned a profit at Rounds 1 and 3, round 2 was a loss and Phillip Island was a
substantial loss. Next year requires a great deal of thought when booking the tracks perhaps avoid during winter months as this certainly contributed to the loss at Phillip Island.

Numbers were also down for the Seniors meeting at Broadford this year, which is disappointing as in previous years it has worked well for us, consequently we had a small loss for that meeting.

However, overall the club has had a 40k increase to its bank balance over the last financial year, helped substantially by the red plate registration scheme which continues to grow. A big thank you to all those that take part in running this great scheme. We also accepted a bequeath from a former member and his family. Which is also a reminder of the love that our members feel for Hartwell.

Entries for our club rounds have been falling and we need to reach out to the members to try to increase numbers for our events to be viable to run. More effort needs to be made to understand our members needs and requirements as to why they are not racing.

We are also looking forward to running the National Historic Championships in November, a huge undertaking and a big thank you to all that are involved.

I thank the outgoing Committee for their support over the year and hope that the incoming Committee works toward greater productivity and progression of this wonderful club.

Regards,
Lloyd Davis.
